Tomorrow is our two year wedding anniversary... hooray! To celebrate, I wanted to share some photos of our wedding venue and the decor that I chose (that's considered interior design, right?).
Jack and I held our wedding reception at the Weisman Art Museum on the U of M campus. Since the architecture and artwork at the Weisman make it such a stunning atmosphere already, it didn't necessarily need a ton of "decorating." So my goal was to keep the flowers, table settings, place cards, etc understated and modern.
Being that it was a winter wedding, I wanted to play off the white snow (which we thankfully got a TON of the night prior) and do a black and white themed event. We incorporated little bits of color here and there (a few aqua vases, hot pink menus, green hydrangeas) to coordinate with all of the colorful artwork. I was worried that the whole mix-match look that I love so much for home interiors would not translate well to such a big event, but I am really happy with how it all came together.
